Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

5. Coverage and Responsibility

There may be options for additional insurance to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options closely. You will remain liable for damage or loss up to the excess amount unless you opt for extra coverage. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse falls under your responsibility, irrespective of your insurance status.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, off-roading, or any hazardous driving situations. Transporting dangerous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is against policy. Driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle must only be used for its intended purposes, and passenger and weight limits must be adhered to. Travel outside the specified geographical limits requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bexhill-on-Sea will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the rental amount paid in the prior 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
